Back Cover : Mathias Mathias Malzieu is ... Malzieu Little Prince is an anorak. Mathias Malzieu is a man of taste (he likes your films by Tim Burton, Richard Brautigan's books and records of Johnny Cash). Mathias Malzieu is a poet. Mathias Malzieu is the lead singer of Dionysos, a rock band who does not make leaps for the head in the clouds and reach the stars. Mathias Malzieu is a child who has learned a lot of great people. Mathias Malzieu is a pioneer of the mini-westerns: dreams are its border. Stéphane Deschamps / Les Inrockuptibles.
Wacky, zany, humor offbeat and totally crazy, the mini 38 westerns Mathias Malzieu depict stories of ghosts, fairies chandeliers, squirrels, humans, vampires and other creatures labello each more bizarre than the others. The tone is whimsical humor, sometimes ironic, never glaucous despite some glitches. Sadly the stories are too short for us to dive into this fertile imagination. The words evoke images, transformation and fate is to wander from reality in a world where anything is possible. But I'm not convinced and I am disappointed by this collection, especially when loved The mechanical heart , a novel that seems more successful than these small westerns. At most, the reader will spend time entertaining, leaving the beaten track to get lost in the maze of a dream Mathias Malzieu more confusing than ever.
